Dear God,

You placed me here for a reason,
My gifts, my walk, my light.
Before I knew who I was,
you called me your own.
You guide my heart,
You light the path.

I remember how it feels to be lost,
to not value your purpose,
to seek all things secular,
to lust for a moment,
to be superficial,
and artificial
superfluous.

Going to church,
going through the motions,
no true devotion,
my heart not stayed on truth.

I remember coming down
and rededicating my life to you.

I remember wanting to go back
down in that pool.

That cleanses us internally
and shines throughout eternity.

I ask now that as I ask,
I be reset, restored, and renude.

As a newborn child
into your great kingdom.

Let us remember to set
our eyes on your everlasting throne,
Heaven our everlasting home
Please forgive us of the debts we own,
But please receive us for the good we've sown.
All my faults & mistakes you've seen and known,
But Father please within your mercy consider all the ways I've grown.

The ways WE'VE grown.
