When I asked God for humility, God lead me to read this chapter in the Bible. He will always provide what you need. Simply humble yourself and ASK. ~ AJW ~ 5 Quotes of Wisdom From the Apostle James "Humble yourself before the Lord, and He will lift you up in honor." ~ James 4:10 "If you are wise and understand God’s ways, prove it by living an honorable life, doing good works with the humility that comes from wisdom." ~ James 3:13 "[...]You all must be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry." ~ James 1:19 "If you claim to be religious but don't control your tongue, you are only fooling yourself and your religion is worthless." ~ James 1:26 "But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and the fruit of good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere. And those who are peacemakers will plant seeds of peace and reap a harvest of righteousness. ~ James 3:17,18 "God asked me what I want most. I prayed back to Him & asked for two things: 1.) Humility 2.) Hunger To me, they are the Yang & Ying of character represented by two words with the letter "H'. People think humility is weakness, but "power" has wrought oppression on the lives of many throughout the ages. I asked for humility because to me it is the noblest of all traits next to love. What good is it to have the entire world at your fingertips and are too prideful and greedy and selfish and too domineering to enjoy any of it? God didn't give us knowledge to be selfish. Just like He didn't want Adam alone, He gave us all talents to be used AND shared with each other. What good am I if I'm a hoarder and even moreso of money? I have always had a dream of helping my family and closest friends my sis. I don't want them to take advantage of me to get to you because they will lose me before I allow them to do that to me or to you. But I know some of them will try, but I know truth comes from God. And He told me to my heart, that because that is what I asked for, He will grant me loved ones who will have the utmost respect for discretion and judgment. (That is why we're so close my sis. I.S.I. B.A.B. ;-) He told me that I will step on the soil of many countries because I did not ask for power, money, and leadership. But they will all be granted unto me because of the purity within the humility found in my heart. Humility takes you where brashness cannot, where ego cannot, where money cannot, where tangibles cannot, where fame cannot. God told me He will be my Sculptor & I will be His masterpiece. The same goes for you my Beloved sis. Remember who you are made by and it will ALWAYS keep you grounded. And after asking for it, I asked that it be paired with hunger. I yearn & hunger to LEARN GOD. To LEARN LOVE. To EARN HIS RESPECT. To FINISH THIS RACE. I don't yearn for money, fame, fortune, expenses, tangibles, riches, popularity, etc. None of that is of any importance to me. And if it were, I would/could've had it by now. I could CARE LESS because I don't care at all about Earthly treasures. For so it is written in the Bible: Matthew 6:19-21 New International Version (NIV) Treasures in Heaven 19 “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. So I asked for: Humility to walk and learn and live among men and Hunger for the Daily Bread, Holy Spirit, and the whole-making craftsmanship of the first Original Artist. God Himself." ~ A |
